This thriving Community Center is located in an ornate Victorian house on Sacramento Street in the Agassiz neighborhood of Cambridge. The project involved integrating an existing front porch and entryway with a new A.D.A. accessible ramp. Existing details of the large newels and heavy rail and baluster system at the front elevation had to be replicated and matched. The rails and balusters were fabricated from Spanish cedar and the decking was mahogany. Our work won a C.H.C. Award from the Cambridge Historical Commission. Project was designed by Prellwitz/Chillinski Associates.
