This distinguished home, built in the early 1800s, was moved to its current site in the early 20th century. The house had suffered a series of inferior additions built onto the back end, and had been partitioned inside and used as a rooming house. We removed the additions and built a new, more historically-accurate addition in their place. Old components of the house were restored working closely with the Cambridge Historical Commission, including restoration of mitered siding. The house now features a beautiful new staircase and long sight lines in the first floor. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and mahogany paneling. Guest bedrooms on the upper floors include exposed historical beams. Exterior features include a breezeway between original house and addition, pools and waterfalls, formal gardens, and aggregate driveways.
